Features of civil-law methods of protection of human dignity

The article analyzes the particular qualities of civil law ways of protecting the dignity of the individual. The subject of research in this article is the legal regulation of social relations that arise when protecting the dignity of the individual. The author notes that the dignity of a person includes not only self-esteem, but also a respectful attitude towards the person, in which there is no moral suffering. As a result of the study, the author concludes that the application of Article 152 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation to disputes on the protection of dignity in cases where the honor or business reputation of a person is not diminished is inexpedient. In the article the author justifies the conclusion that it is necessary to use articles 150, 151 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation in protecting the dign ity of the individual.
