Peculiarities of the characteristics of the state and structure of crimes in the sphere of circulation of information protected by law in the modern period in the Russian Federation

Introduction: the problem of combating crimes in the field of circulation of information protected by law is acute and relevant in the era of digital technologies. The article examines the reasons and conditions for the commission of crimes provided for by Articles 272-274 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The main factors contributing to the commission of crimes in the sphere of circulation of information protected by law are determined. Based on the analysis of statistical information, the article draws a conclusion about a decrease in registered crimes in the field of circulation of information protected by law and analyzes the reasons for this. Materials and Methods: the normative basis of the study is formed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, criminal legislation, regulations governing information protection activities. The methodological basis of the research is the dialectical method of cognition, which makes it possible to objectively and comprehensively consider the problems of legal assessment of crimes in the sphere of circulation of information protected by law. In addition, the study used such general and specific scientific methods of cognition as the method of systems analysis, comparative legal, historical, formal logical, logical legal and other methods widely used in legal science. The Results of the Study: made it possible to identify the main trends in the commission of crimes in the field of circulation of information protected by law, and also allowed identifying factors influencing the state, structure and dynamics of crimes in the field of circulation of information protected by law. Findings and Conclusions: the analyzed interrelationships between individual elements of crimes in the sphere of circulation of information protected by law made it possible to determine the subject of criminal encroachment, to describe their state, structure and dynamics.
