Features of surgical treatment of diseases thyroid gland

Introduction In domestic thyroidology, the main treatment for benign thyroid gland is surgical intervention. The emerging tendency to perform advanced operations leads to an increase in the number of patients with postoperative hypothyroidism, the frequency of development of which varies from 25 to 78.5%. Performing organpreserving operations is fraught with the occurrence of a relapse of the disease, which entails the need for repeated surgical interventions with a high risk of postoperative complications. The ambiguity of opinions affecting the above issues, and served as the basis for this work
