The features and practices of the functioning of a digital identity as a political subject in the online space

The paper presents the results of an empirical study reflecting the features and practices of the functioning of a digital identity as a political subject in the online space. As a result of the study, the features of the perception of social and political information by 'digital natives' and 'digital migrants' were revealed. The research included 11 focus groups, where the case-study method was applied, which made it possible to confirm the theory about the different perception of social and political information by 'digital natives' and 'digital migrants'. Network analytics enabled to visualize the results of the study and showed hidden connections. The findings allow us to formulate recommendations for the activities of the state apparatus in the online space, focusing on the perception of 'digital natives' and 'digital migrants', which is reflected in the perception of political subjects.
