Peculiarities and advantages of clusters and their distinction from business networks

The article examines the economic essence of clusters as one of the form of economic subjects’ association. The difference between clusters and business networks is analyzed. It is concluded that a cluster is more effective form of cooperation, as it has innovation and competition character, wider coverage of subjects and social effects. It is noted that state cluster policy should include creation of favorable conditions for clusters development.
