Features and problems of methodological support of higher education

Higher education has always been perceived and, in the present, is perceived as a necessary condition for successful career advancement. The quality of education depends on many components, but everything is based on the information obtained in the learning process and the methods of its development. Consequently, the development of necessary professional competencies by students directly depends on the methodological support of the learning process, namely, on the educational and methodological literature. The article is devoted to the study of certain issues of methodological support of the learning process. The purpose of the study is to study the resources offered by various textbooks and teaching aids necessary for obtaining certain competencies. Using the methods of problem-based and comparative analysis, an assessment of the compliance of textbooks and various textbooks offered by library systems with the requirements of state standards, competence-based conformity, functional completeness, and the possibility of using them in a digital interactive environment was carried out. For researchers who are simultaneously practicing university teachers, the problems of «effectiveness», authenticity, novelty and accessibility of educational materials used in the learning process are quite relevant. The analysis of publications by various authors on this topic is carried out. The results of our own research are described with the conclusions that identified the problems. The proposed measures, according to the authors, allow to solve the identified problems to a certain extent.
