The features and ways of developing cross-border transit routes of the PRC the EAEU and the EU in the medium term

Many countries and interregional socio-economic clusters are interested in partnership with the Eurasian Economic Union. One of the cooperation goals is the joint creation of interstate transboundary transport corridors along the North-South, West-East lines and along the Silk Road Economic Belt. Based on the analysis of statistical information and data from scientific and analytical centers in Russia, European and Asian countries, the authors of the paper identify trends in the development of cooperation in the field of providing railway traffic and the features of cross-border transit routes between partner states. It is concluded that the development prospects of the Silk Road Economic Belt should be considered both from a political and technological point of view, which will not only take into account the interests of stakeholders, but will also contribute to increasing the intensity and efficiency of railway transportation.
