Special aspects of document indexing in OPAC-Global: problems and opportunities

The special aspects of indexing documents on the problems of the agro-industrial complex using information retrieval languages are considered: the Information Retrieval Thesaurus, the Branch Rubricator on Agriculture and Food, the Universal Decimal Classification and Language of Keywords in the OPAC-Global Automated Information Library System, which allows creating bibliographic records in the RUSMARC format. The description of the format fields and the specifics of their filling in the process of indexing documents are given using specific examples. The advantages and disadvantages of the OPAC-Global system when using an indexer are highlighted.
