Features of inflation processes in the economy of modern Russia

Inflation is one of the" chronic diseases " of a market economy that the market itself cannot cope with. It leads to macroeconomic instability and destabilizes the country's economy, that is, inflation is a very great danger to the economy. It defines many socio-economic processes: exchange rates, consumer demand, economic growth, investment opportunities, living standards, employment and the country's balance of payments. The Nobel laureate in Economics emphasizes that"a revolutionary who seeks to destroy the social system could not find anything more effective than deep inflation, which paralyzes the price mechanism". The purpose of the article is to characterize the peculiarities of inflation processes in Russia, to identify the causes of inflation in the economy and to analyze the current state of this socio - economic phenomenon.
