Characteristics of seizure of the electronic media in the investigation process: innovation of legislation and problems of enforcement

The article deals with the issues of seizure of the electronic media in the light of the provisions of the Federal Act of 27.12.2018 № 533- Federal Act, which highlighted developments in article 164 of the Russian Code of Criminal Procedure, that place restrictions in seizure of the electronic media in the investigation process in criminal proceedings for offences committed in Entrepreneurship. The authors also consider exceptions to these restrictions provided for part 1 of article 164.1 of the Russian Code of Criminal Procedure.
