This article, in the context of modern historiography of economic history of Russia, evaluates “Economic Policy Making and Business Culture: Why is Russia So Different?” (London: Imperial College Press, 2011) by the British economist David A. Dyker. The monograph describes and evaluates, from the author’s point of view, the characteristics and problems of the economy of the Russian Federation today.
