The article deals with the peculiarities of emotional intelligence of adolescents from 12 to 15 years. It is assumed that there are differences in the indicators of emotional intelligence of adolescent girls and adolescent boys. In the course of experimental research the necessity of purposeful development of emotional intelligence in adolescence is revealed.
