Peculiarities of ethnic identity evolution in the multi-national region

The article is devoted to the problem of ethnic identity evolution in the Republic of Bashkortostan in the period of the society transformation. The results of the research of ethnic identity of the three biggest ethnic groups of the republic (Russians, Bashkirs and Tatars) are presented.
