The article defines the concepts of quality and standard of living of the population and indicates their meaning. Attention is focused on the main indicators and indicators of the level and quality of life in the Chelyabinsk region. It is noted that at the regional level, the collection and processing of primary statistical data and administrative information of the Chelyabinsk region is carried out by the Federal State Statistics Service of the Chelyabinsk Region, a regional institution of government statistical information (Chelyabinskstat). Due to the fact that the economy of the Russian Federation is sensitive to the slightest changes in the world market, the unstable economic situation in the country, and in particular in the regions, leads to an unstable level of economic satisfaction of the needs of residents. Chelyabinsk region, taking into account the difficult economic conditions associated with the coronavirus pandemic, post-pandemic reality, a special military operation, key attention should be given to keeping on the same border the percentage of residents with an income less than the subsistence level in the total number of residents. The solutions proposed in the study proceed from the implementation of a mathematical model that has a probabilistic approach to solving the problem. The regression model will provide the most accurate results and recommendations necessary for further consideration of the problem.
