The peculiarities of zero article in French from the stand-point of the discourse theory

The article deals with the problem of zero article in the discourse theory. There is a tendency which helps differentiate the zero article from the absence in idiomatic constructions. The main criteria of differentiation is defined as presence or absence of the participant of the speech situation.
