In the article, the authors identified the features of the objects of the offenses of medical organizations and medical workers in public and private law based on the analysis of this category from the standpoint of the theory of state and law, as well as taking into account the peculiarities of legal regulation of medical relations, legal responsibility of the special subjects under consideration, and forensic medical examination of harm caused to human health. The range of objects of the offenses of medical organizations and medical workers is very diverse and is not limited to objects directly related to health protection. Based on this, the authors propose to classify them according to the criterion of attitudes towards medical activity into basic and additional. In turn, the distinctive features of the objects of the offenses of medical organizations and medical workers in public and private law include the degree of their specification and the breadth of the circle of such objects. The common feature of the studied legal phenomena is their intersection, correlation with each other. Both in private and in public law, the objects of offenses are the life and health of a person, which depends on the degree of harm caused by him, which is established on the basis of a forensic medical examination in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
