Features of the educational mechanisms of the US influence on the Republic of Korea

This article examines the features of the educational mechanisms of the US influence on the Republic of Korea, which are part of the strategy of American public diplomacy. The author has identified the most popular and influential mechanisms, which are the Fulbright educational program, the spread of the English language, which is becoming increasingly important for Koreans in business, education and other spheres of life. At the present stage, the United States exercises its influence additionally through American NGOs, cultural and educational exchanges, civil society leaders, and journalists.
