The author considers the methodological problems of assessing the market value of buildings - historic monuments for their privatization, lease or asset management. The need to address these problems due to the fact that, unlike ordinary property using a buildingmonument to provide a number of limitations that reduce its commercial value, but because of its «historicity» such objects have a kind of brand that could enhance its market value.
