The article examines the formation of a model for assessing the cost-effectiveness of innovation projects in higher education. The original classification of six integral evaluation indicators, which included: investment attractiveness, commercialization potential, marketing, unit economy, resources and project team, is presented. The degree of influence of each indicator depending on the industry in which the project is being implemented is considered. Based on the degree of influence and evaluation results, it is suggested that each of the indicators be placed in one of four categories depending on the industry: good results - strong influence, poor results - strong influence, good results - weak influence, poor results - weak influence. In the future, it is possible to use such classification in decision support systems for student innovation projects.
