Features of the organization of project financing in modern universities

The article discusses the main aspects of financing student projects at technical universities in Russia. The authors focus on the analysis of various programs for financing innovative projects in modern universities. A distinctive feature of modern proactive education should be the formation of entrepreneurial competencies of future engineers. Currently, the ways of bringing initiative student projects to the market are of particular interest. The educational programs of higher educational institutions should be aimed at improving the entrepreneurial and organizational skills of students of technical universities. To achieve the purpose of the study, the main ways of financing innovative projects in different universities were considered. The review of available support programs was conducted, and the authors formalized the mechanism of project financing of student initiatives at the technical university. Its peculiarity is the well-established mechanism of communication of the initiative group of students with project stakeholders. The authors give a generalized description of grant programs for financing innovative projects, and also consider the features of such support. In the course of the study, the authors come to the conclusion that the introduction of project financing as a method of commercialization of projects can bring the modern economy to a new level.
