Features of the pedagogical activity of metropolitan Arseny (Stadnitsky) during his service in religious schools

The article examines the distinctive features of the pedagogical activity of Metropolitan Arseny (Stadnitsky), identifies his personal and professional qualities that shaped the nature of his actions in managing religious schools during the prerevolutionary period and allowed him to successfully neutralize protest sentiments. The article utilizes diary entries from periods when Bishop Arseny worked at the Novgorod Seminary and the Moscow Theological Academy. It is demonstrated that the pacification of protests by Metropolitan Arseny allowed him to achieve high personal qualities, based on Christian love, as well as his talent as an educator. The conclusion is made that the appeal to the pedagogical experience of Metropolitan Arseny is relevant even in our days.
