The article considers the peculiarities of pension provision in Russia. The authors give the concepts of pension provision and state pension provision, reveal the peculiarities of compulsory and voluntary pension insurance in Russia. The statistics characterizing the development of pension provision in Russia is analyzed, the reform of the pension provision system is considered.
