The peculiarities of South-Ural settlement planning of various ethnic groups in the XVIII-XIX centuries

The research work covers the peculiarities of national traditions of housing. It is devoted to the analysis of origin and development of settlements of various ethnic groups of the South Urals. The formation of their architectural space is examined and the analysis of interaction of cultures and traditions in the formation of architectural space is made in the work. On the basis of the XlXth century eyewitnesses' recollections, archive investigations in the Russian State Historical Archive and analysis of general settlements planning schemes, the researcher discovers the peculiarities of planning and housing systems. The research analyses the stages which the settlements in the XVIII-XlXth centuries had and points out the characteristic features of each stage.
