The main purpose of this research was to study features of morphological indicators of blood of football players of high qualification of different playing position (forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers). Indicators of hemogram were repeatedly registered in 392 professional football players - members of the football club of the Premier League of Russia. Hemograms obtained in the period of the competitive season (March-November) were analyzed. Determination of reliability of differences was based on checking the shape of the distribution of values of indicators. Respectively, parametric t-criterion of Student and nonparametric test of Mani-Whitney were used. The functioning level of erythropoiesis increases in comparative series defender → midfielder → forward → goalkeeper; the content of leukocytes increases in series defender → goalkeeper → midfielder → forward; the number of internal interactions increases in series of midfielder → forward → defender → goalkeeper. The largest absolute and relative content of neutrophils and the smallest number of intrasystem interconnections between indicators of hemogram are observed in midfielder. The feature of the blood picture of forwards is the largest absolute number of lymphocytes and eosinophils, as well as the fewest number of intersystem interactions between leukocyte indicators. The peculiarity of the blood picture of defender is characterized by low level of functioning of erythro - and leuko-cytopenia according to absolute values of parameters of red and white blood cells as well as the largest number of intersystem interactions between red blood. The hemogram of goalkeeper is characterized by the highest level of erythropoiesis functioning.
