Developed genetic markers can be used as indicators of development of arterial hypertension (AH) in workers of non-ferrous metallurgy with abdominal obesity. It is established that abdominal obesity is a modifier that affects the development of pathology in this group, without taking into account the genetic background. The revealed cause and effect relationship of hypertension in workers with abdominal obesity is significant in heterozygotes for the MMP9 gene, as well as in normal homozygotes for the MTHFR, NR3C1 and TP53. The variant genotypes of the candidate genes MMP9, MTHFR, NR3C1, TP53 characterize the development of arterial hypertension associated with abdominal obesity in non-ferrous metallurgy workers and are recommended for use as indicator indicators in order to make decisions to reduce the impact of harmful working conditions on health.
