Features of the legal status of a foreign investor in the Russian Federation and in the Central African Republic: comparative legal analysis of legislation

Purpose: To analyze the main provisions of the legislation of the Central African Republic and the Russian Federation in the issue of regulating the legal status of a foreign investor. Methodology: The methods of structural and functional analysis, the system method, and the formal legal method were used. Results: In the CAR, there are many unresolved issues, this can not but complicate the already deplorable situation of the country’s economy. There are also problems in Russia, which in turn complicate any prospects for increasing the volume of foreign investment. The lack of the legal status of a foreign investor creates the need to build a different, more innovative structure of foreign investment. Government need to change the system of state regulation of foreign investment, its mechanisms, tools, components. Novelty/originality/value: The article is of high scientific and practical value, since it is a study of an actual problem for the CAR and the Russian Federation.
