Some features of factor analysis in terminology

The article examines some features of factor analysis in linguistic studies, particularly in terminology. The analysis shows that the main value of factor analysis as a method of terminological research is the ability to describe and model cause-and-effect relationships, classification and comparison of term systems and individual terms. Factor analysis is proposed to be a way for modeling of term systems and processes related to their functioning and development.
