Бесплатный доступ

The paper explores a relevant and little-studied topic - the features of the use of AR technologies in journalism. With the help of AR technologies, the effect of immersion is achieved, and this, in turn, makes journalistic projects more effective in terms of immersing the viewer in the story and creating a sense of ownership and empathy. So far, the number of journalistic materials created using AR technologies is small, but it is all the more important to get acquainted with their capabilities and specifics. In the course of the study, the authors studied the history of the development of AR technology and its current state. Also, augmented reality technology is considered as a key component of immersive journalism. The paper studies in detail the specifics of existing journalistic AR projects on specific examples of domestic and foreign media, studied the historical, technological, and functional aspects. This made it possible to analyze approaches to the creation of journalistic AR projects by leading media specialists - RIA Lab and New York Times.
