In the article some features of attraction of investments by the Russian enterprises in modern conditions are considered, and the results of the analysis of a current and perspective state of the investment market are given. The need of consolidating the role of the State regulation during the crisis period is substantiated. The description of basic elements of investment process is submitted. For increase of efficiency of investment activity the stage-by-stage scheme of an assessment of investment appeal of investment projects is offered
