Features of sociocultural adaptation of Russian-speaking Korean repatriates in the Republic of Korea (1998-2011)

The article considers difficulties of adaptation to the different cultural environment by studying the case of repatriates in the Republic of Korea. The author studies historical aspects of Koreans’ residence in the territory of Russia and the former Soviet Republics, discusses conditions of interactions between the repatriates and host party, and elaborates factors of the effective adaptation in the current sociocultural conditions of the Republic of Korea.
