Features of information systems relational database design of economic entities

In the article methodology of relational database design, features of creating an infological model and transition from relational model when designing information systems of economic subjects relations is considered. Modern approaches of relational database design are generalized. The author’s methodology clarifies features of relational database design and suggests a solution to number of problems in design process, specifically identifying entities of subject domain in infological modelling and rules of transitions from infological to datalogical model. Recommendations in developing methodological provisions of relational database design representing a specified algorithm of infological project and transition to a relational model, and templates of describing model objects in the process of technical documentation preparation are provided. Features of applying the algorithm are those that it contains practical recommendations of specifying subjects domains at the stage of creating an infological model and also transitions rules from entity-relationship model to an infological one. Demonstration of algorithm applying will be implementes using the example of projecting a subject domain “Centralized library system”. Recommendations represent practical importance for the development of the information systems design methodology that allows to solve the problem - development of tools for information systems design in the economic entities interests.
