Statement of the problem. The article deals with the features of designing a system of methods for professional training of students in a pedagogical university under modern educational practice. Emerging problems in training future teachers reflect different aspects of the teacher’s work and are divided into several areas (didactic, methodical, educational). The purpose of the articleis to suggest the author’s approach to the design of a system of methods for professional training on the basis of scientific principles in coordination, combination and correlation with different activities of a university teacher and a student. The research methodologyincludes the analysis of the essence of methods not only as methods of activity, but also as an abstracted sequence and predictable actions. This interpretation of the system of methods is based on the allocation in the learning process of two types of activities: that of a teacher and that of a student. These two types of activities differ both in their content and in their methods. Only as a result of the interaction of these activities there appears a functional relationship that clearly responds to a change in one of the components of the learning process. This relationship reflects the dialectical relationship between the activities of a teacher and a student, so it is flexible, corresponding to the nature of the active components in the external environment. Research results. The scientific principles are developed for making the system of methods for professional training of students in pedagogical universities and the system of task-situations that help to implement systems of methods for professional training of students in pedagogical universities. Conclusion. Analyzing the results of the performance test for the designed system of methods for professional training, it can be concluded that the use of the formulated scientific principles in practice make it possible to improve the quality of professional training of students in the context of modern requirements for training bachelors in 44.04.01 Pedagogical Education (full-time and part-time).
