The article discusses theoretical and practical aspects of the crime scene search upon detection of a dead baby without outward appearances of violent death in living accomodation with an adjoining residential gardens, in the stairwell, within an open ground, in a vehicle or in a medical institution. The author of the article deals with the problematic issues related to the identification and detection of crimes “disguised” as an event of a noncriminal nature - “sudden infant death syndrome”.
