Features of the spatial location of nests and nesting sites of some protected predatory birds in the Volga Height territory of the Saratov region have been investigated. Predatory birds were found to prefer settling within the limits of mosaic sites with an approximately equal wood and open-place ratio; in choosing the territory for nesting the preference of ravines has been revealed at a landscape level. Oak-groves and lin-den-maple forests are shown to be most attractive for predatory birds by biotopic composition at a cenotic level; oak is most frequently used as a nesting tree.
