The article presents the results of an empirical study of the self-identity of the personality of a suicide. Suicidal attempt is considered as a way out of a crisis. As a result of the study, the authors concluded that suiciders are characterized by a slightly reduced degree of emotional security experience, a tendency to show confidence in the unfavorable attitude of the world and people around them, as well as confidence in the randomness of events that happen to them. The psycho-semantic spaces of consciousness of suiciders and people indisposed to suicide are different. The authors emphasize that life for suiciders is a unique phenomenon, full of diverse and often conflicting tendencies, but has a certain meaning for each of the subjects and with which it is possible to start a game, including a dangerous one. If the people indisposed to suicide associate the concept "death" with "completeness", "necessity", then suiciders add "lightness" and "simplicity" to these characteristics. The indicators of viability in suiciders affecting the attitude to the situation, are significantly lower than the indicators of viability in people not prone to suicidal behavior. In addition, the study made it possible to identify the development of resilience as constructive strategies for overcoming difficult life situations as factors in the prevention of suicidal risk. The development of coping strategies and personal qualities on which coping is based contributes to building up resources to overcome a difficult situation, thereby reducing the degree of crisis experience and ensuring the rejection of extreme forms of avoiding the situation - suicidal behavior.
