Features of the location of chemical elements in the hair

Бесплатный доступ

The article discusses the distribution of chemical elements in long strands of hair. Hair reflects elemental status over a long period of time. In the hair, one can trace the change in the content of one or another essential or toxic element that occurs during prolonged exposure to certain factors specific to specific regions. The atomic emission method determined the presence and content of 18 elements in various parts of the hair: basal, middle and terminal. It is shown that most of the studied elements are accumulated and distributed unevenly along the length of the hair. For 11 elements (Al, As, Cu, Mg, Mo, Ni, Sb, Si, Sn, Ti, V), the highest concentration was noted in the end part, for 6 (B, Cd, Fe, Mn, Pb, Zn) - in middle.
