Features of safety culture development among corporate employees

Statement of the problem. The article justifies the problem of taking into account the features of the professionalization stage among corporate employees in the framework of additional professional education aimed at developing safety culture. The purpose of the article is to identify the features of safety culture development among corporate employees taking into account their age characteristics and the stage of professionalization. The research methodology is based on the generalization of research works of foreign and Russian scientists in the field of theory and methodology of education, in the field of safety of professional activity and areas related to pedagogy. In the study, from the standpoint of systemic, culturological, axiological, and activity approaches, the elements of the safety culture of corporate employees and its development at the stage of professionalization are considered in combination with the andragogical approach, presented primarily in the pedagogical studies of Russian and foreign authors [Sokolova, Ilyina, 2018; Lebedinskaya, 2016; Stemn, 2016]. To test the assumption about the differences in the safety culture of employees of different ages, the author conducted and described an experiment, carried out statistical processing of the results of the experiment and gave its pedagogical interpretation. Research results. The essence of the studied phenomenon “safety culture of corporate employees” is revealed; the level of development of the safety culture of employees of three age groups was determined; the conditions for the development of safety culture among employees, external and internal in relation to the system of education in the field of safety, were identified. On the basis of experimental data, the author proposes guidelines for transforming the pedagogical conditions for the development of the necessary level of safety culture for employees of different ages in additional professional education. Conclusion. Based on the features of the professionalization stage (professional experience), the proposed by the author methods of pedagogical influence on the development of safety culture among corporate employees can serve as guidelines for methodologists of training centers, teachers of additional professional education, teachers-researchers in the development of individual programs for the development of safety culture among corporate employees. The pedagogical conditions proposed by the author, based on the age characteristics of the safety culture developed for employees, can serve as guidelines for methodologists of training centers, teachers of additional professional education, teachers-researchers in the development of individual programs for the development of safety culture for corporate employees.
