Features of development of political process in Kyrgyzstan after «revolution of tulips» (2005-2010)

This article is an attempt of consideration the peculiarities of the development of the political process after the so-called «revolution of Tulips» that took place in 2005 in Kyrgyz-Stan, its place and role in the conditions of transformation of society. Comparing this revolution with existing theoretical models of the revolution and their role in political modernization of society, the author comes to the conclusion that the «Revolution of tulips» is significantly different from previously studied traditional varieties, and serves as a means of political upheaval. The suggestion is put forward that the main difference of this revolution is in the objective discrepancy of the process of development and achievable goals, because as a result the comprehensive, in-depth changes in the model of state and social development haven’t been implemented.
