Features of development of musical variety art of 1960-1980

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the development of Soviet variety music in the 1960s and 1980s. The main aspects of the development of musical art of the specified period are considered, features of variety song are analyzed, the degree of influence of foreign variety on domestic variety music is revealed, cultural and historical significance of Soviet variety-song art is determined. Variety musical figures who had a significant influence on the historical and cultural image of the Soviet variety were considered. Further prerequisites for the development of show business, instead of state-controlled variety culture, are set.
