The characteristics of the state housing policy implemented in modern Russia

The research analyzes the problems of housing policy implemented in Russia by the state. It includes a narrow range of types of housing provided for citizens, the lack of interest of federal authorities in developing other ways to address housing problems except for homeownership, lots of administrative delays in house-building, the problematic registration of land title in particular cases, monopolist developers and construction-related suppliers. The above-mentioned issues prove that there are no science-based housing strategy and housing policy developed in this regard. Besides, it is necessary to meet the challenges set forth in the research.
