Features of the implementation of the energy strategy of the Russian Federation at the present stage

The article analyzes the features and key tendencies in international relations that affect Russia’s energy security. It notes that increasing competition as well as political, financial-economical sanction pressure on Russia from the West impede the implementation of the foreign policy tasks of Russia's energy policy. The author stresses that Russia should look for an adequate response to the new challenges of energy security through the development of international crisis management.
