Бесплатный доступ

The article presents economy-geographic analysis of particularities of autonomous renewable energy development in Kalmykia Republic (South of Russia) with considering regional economic pattern of energy supply in the rural areas. The work includes renewable energy geographic potential evaluations that are recommended to determine promising areas of renewable energy development at the levels of municipalities, small-scaled habitations, and distant-pasture cattle rearing. The conclusion is that development of distributed network of local solar and wind energy generating capacities increases reliability and efficiency of energy supply of the remote rural areas.
