Features of regional demographic policy in the national constituent entities of the Far Eastern Federal District

The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the demographic situation in the ethnonational regions of the Far Eastern Federal District (Far Eastern Federal District), including the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Republic of Buryatia, and the Jewish Autonomous Region. The relevance of the study is due to the acute demographic problems of the region, which is of great geopolitical importance. The paper examines a number of major trends in the natural and migration movement of the population, as well as the peculiarities of the demographic development of ethnonational subjects. The research methodology is based on a statistical analysis of Rosstat data (2011-2025), the All-Russian Population Census of 2020, regulatory legal acts of the subjects of the Russian Federation, documents from regional social service centers, as well as materials from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. Special attention is paid to the analysis of regional support programs for families with children, including ways to implement maternity capital, social benefits and measures to improve housing conditions. The practical significance of the work is determined by the formulated recommendations for improving demographic policy, including the need to develop mechanisms for attracting and securing the population and improving social infrastructure.
