Features of regional elections in modern Russia (on the materials of five subjects of the Russian Federation)

The article deals with the features of regional elections (elections of the head of the subject and regional parliaments). The main research method was the use of expert interviewing. The study was conducted in five subjects of the Russian Federation (Volgograd and Kursk Regions, Krasnoyarsk Territory, federal cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg). The author presents elements of a comparative analysis of five expert groups from these regions and a similar all-Russian study. The article attempts to identify all-Russian features of regional elections and special features of the five subjects under consideration.
