The article discusses the features of state regulation of the road industry. The author highlights the main tasks of the Federal target program "Development of the transport system of Russia until 2030". The article also identifies the main problems of management in the road industry. Shortcomings of regulation of the road sector in Russia at the state level and at the regional level were identified.
