Diagnostic features of mammographic and ultrasound mucinous carcinoma of the breast

The aim of this article is to describe the main epidemiological, clinical and morphological diagnostic features of one of the rare breast cancer form - mucinous carcinoma of the breast. Authors present their own results of twelve-year period of research accompanying by current scientific data. Radiology patterns of mucinous carcinoma are difficult for interpretation. Mucinous carcinoma diagnosis can be improved by integrating of combination mammography with breast ultrasound with modern technologies, like sonoelastography.
