The features of self-preservation behaviour of modern students

On the basis of the author's social research the article discusses the features of the self-preservation behaviour of student youth studying in the Astrakhan State University. The author carries out a comparative analysis of the self-preservation values of students, considers their motivation and actions focused on preservation of their health. The basic parameters and sociological aspects of students' self-preservation behaviour manifestation are described. It is concluded that in the structure of students' self-preservation behaviour there is a mismatch, and there is a contradiction between assessment of the health status, treatment of health as one of the fundamental values in life and actual behaviour on health preservation.
