Peculiarities of sexual disturbances in men with ischemic heart disease. Influence of sub-cutaneous intracoronary interventions

106 patients with coronary artery disease were examined before and after coronary angioplasty and/or coronary stenting. Sexual disorders were revealed in more than a half of these patients. Such disorders as diminishing and decline of sexual activity and erectile dysfunction predominated. Almost a half of the patients had angina and atypical chest pain attacks during coitus. High comorbidity of sexual dysfunction with affective and neurotic disorders relating to stress was found. There was shown that endovascular revascularization of myocardium improved significantly all manifestations of sexuality except for duration of sexual act.
