Бесплатный доступ

After the start of the New Economic Policy (hereinafter referred to as the NEP), which the Bolsheviks nevertheless decided on due to the difficult financial and economic situation in which the country found itself, in Soviet Russia, along with the actual liberal changes in the economy, corresponding social processes began to take place in other spheres of life. The article examines the features of these processes and shows their inconsistency. In particular, the expansion of market elements in a number of sectors of the economy, it would seem, should have led to some liberalization of political relations, but in fact the political rights of citizens were limited. Since the mid-1920s. the authorities determined the priority of politics over economics as a result of the desire of the ruling elite, led by Stalin, to build socialism in Russia, and in the late 1920s. The Soviet government abandoned the NEP.
