The article deals with the features of social and psychological adaptation of personnel of MIA special forces in the Republic of Buryatia, which had been in the North Caucasus region for 6 months. The interconnection of social- psychological adaptation and mechanisms of psychological defense, as well as the level of emotional burnout among MIA employees are considered.
